Did anyone close to you have death bed visions?

They say death bed visions are a lack of oxygen in the dying process. I do not believe that. Because as a hospice nurse, I have seen people who claim to see their favorite pet, their family members, etc showing up days before they stop eating or drinking. One woman, I was feeding her at supper, had been blind for years. She exclaimed, “my Mom just walked through the door!” Okay. Taking her to her room, she said her Mom was there and she actually introduced us. She also said that her Mom wanted to thank us for her great care and she was coming back on Saturday to take her home. This is a woman who had no idea what day of the week it was. Guess when she died? Saturday.
One woman, I had never met before, for two weeks had seen these serious men in black suits sitting around the end of her bed. She was kinda scared. The day she died, she grabbed my hand and said, “oh honey, I know who they are now and its wonderful that they are here. And by the way, your Mom, Pat, is standing over there, she wants to say hello.” She didn’t know me, didn’t know my Mom’s name. but she knew it that day .
I honestly can say if I’ve been around 300 or 400 people who have died, about 10% have these things happen. My Mom kept saying for weeks that she was seeing a little black dog out of the corner of her eye. When she died, she was laying on the bed, with movements such as petting a small dog. My Dad asked me what I thought she was doing. I said, “I think she’s petting Mitsy.” (her favorite dog in the whole world ).
